Welcome to the Spring Renaissance Meeting: Clinical Updates 2027, planned and organized by the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Neurosciences.

Created by faculty leaders to fill the need for a unified, high-yield educational forum, this event brings together our department’s long-standing visiting professor programs and prestigious named lectureships into one premier event—designed to re-engage alumni and welcome the broader ophthalmic community back to the University.

Registration Rates

  • MD/Optometrists: $495

  • Other Healthcare Professionals: $195

  • Residents/Fellows: $95

  • Medical Students: $25

  • Retirees: $295

Registration Policies:

  • On-site registration will be allowed as space permits. All on-site registrants must use their own device to submit their registration and payment by credit card via CE Portal (cash/check not accepted).

  • Registration through CE Portal is required even if attendance is free-of-charge.

  • Special needs, such as dietary restrictions, lactation room, etc., should be requested in advance. These requests cannot always be honored on site.

  • In the event you need to cancel your registration, the registration fee, less a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded if you notify us by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026. No refunds will be made after this date.


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.



Credit Designation Statements

American Medical Association (AMA)
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Determination of exact number of credits is pending.

Minnesota Board of Optometry
The Minnesota Board of Optometry recognizes and accepts courses that provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ Registered learners will be asked to provide their license number and OE tracker number as the complete their evaluation form to allow the University of Minnesota's Office of Continuing Professional Development to report their completion data to the Minnesota State Board of Optometry. 

Other Healthcare Professionals
Other healthcare professionals who participate in this CE activity may submit their certificate of participation to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.

Attire

The dress code for the conference is business casual. Since meeting room temperatures and personal comfort levels vary, we recommend dressing in layers and bringing a sweater or jacket.

Paid parking is available onsite at the hotel. The hotel also offers free airport transportation.
