Advanced Therapies for Pediatric Obesity is an activity intended for its learners to utilize pharmacotherapy for pediatric obesity in a safe and responsible fashion while identifying biological targets of obesity treatments and the mechanisms of actions and outcomes of currently FDA approved and off-label medications for the treatment of obesity in adults and youth.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Discuss the pathophysiology of obesity and the weight-reduced state and how to apply this knowledge to treatment strategies for pediatric obesity.
  2. Recognize how weight-related comorbidities contribute to worsening obesity and how to intervene.
  3. Recall comprehensive strategies for the management of pediatric obesity using nutrition, physical activity, behavior, medications, and surgery.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration, the registration fee, less a $50 administrative fee, will be refunded if we receive a two-week notice prior to the activity. No refunds will be made after that.
