This event is an effort to convene experts and stakeholders to consider how issues of equity and engagement are challenging research ethics. We are featuring national leadership on equity and engagement. As a large, public, land-grant research university, we aim to explore these vital issues with our faculty, staff, trainees, students, and community, as well as a national audience.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe strategies to increase community and participant engagement in the conduct of research, including clinical research with patients.
  2. Identify opportunities to enhance equity in formulation of research questions, recruitment and retention of research participants and the conduct of research, including clinical research with patients.
  3. Analyze the importance of addressing equity and engagement in research, including clinical research with patients.
