Overview

Ultimate MSK provides comprehensive learning modules for both the upper and lower extremity. Each module utilizes a step-by-step approach easy to understand format that reviews the protocols, pertinent anatomy, live scan, and pathology.

Module 1: Hamstring

The Hamstring Module presents the scanning protocol, anatomy, sonoanatomy and live scan, and associated pathologies for both the proximal or insertional region and the mid to distal region. The lessons for the proximal hamstring focus on insertional injures while the mid into the distal third lesson focus on hamstring muscle injuries.

Accreditation valid through: September 25, 2027
Estimated time to complete this module: 4.50 hours

Steps to complete the course:

  • Complete the module content including all quizzes.
  • Upon successful completion (viewing the videos and passing the quizzes), a Course Completion Details button will appear; the document provided to you when you click the button will include a link to a post module evaluation. You MUST complete the evaluation to have your completion recorded at the University of Minnesota’s Office of Continuing Professional Development and receive your Certificate of Participation. Individuals who do not complete the evaluation are not eligible for a Certificate and/or available CE credits.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe the protocol for the ultrasound evaluation of the proximal, middle, and distal third hamstring region.
  2. Identify the anatomy and sonoanatomy of the hamstring region.
  3. Explain how to perform a diagnostic ultrasound of the proximal, middle, and distal third hamstring region.
  4. Identify the sonographic findings of proximal hamstring pathologies.
  5. Identify the sonographic findings of hamstring muscle injuries.

Registration

Currently, registration provides access to ALL the content of on the website. This includes the fully developed learning modules and associated continuing education (CE) credits. It also includes the lessons from modules that are not fully developed. However, CE's will not be available until the modules are fully developed and all content is available.

The individual registration rate is $399 per year.

For multiple seats the registration rate is as follows: $399 for each of the 1st 2 seats, $299 for each of the 3 - 5 seats, $199 for each seat 6 and beyond.

At the time of renewal, the subscription rate may increase as more content becomes available and will be disclosed prior to the time of renewal.

Registration fees are non-refundable. 

 

 


Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education and the Institute of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Education. University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation Statements

American Medical Association (AMA)
The University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education designates this enduring material for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Academy of PAs (AAPA)

University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 4.5 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until September 25, 2027. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

 

Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer
University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education (BOC AP#: JA0000810) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs). This program is eligible for a maximum of 4.5 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Other Healthcare Professionals
Other healthcare professionals who participate in this CE activity may submit their certificate of participation to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
