This conference explores the identification and care for athletes, because all athletes are at risk for physical and mental trauma. This conference seeks to improve the medical knowledge for providers caring for athletes. The presentations are mainly case based and allow for Q&A. The planning committee uses their expertise in athletic medicine to identify speakers and topics. An evaluation is collected as well to gather topic requests from our attendees.

Credit Designation Statements 

American Medical Association (AMA)
The University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Athletic Trainers
The University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education (BOC AP#0000810) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers (ATs). This program is eligible for a maximum of 1.0 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the education program.

Other Healthcare Professionals
Other healthcare professionals who participate in this CE activity may submit their statement of participation to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
