Overview

Organ transplantation remains a dynamic field of continued interest and excitement.  The 2025 Cutting Edge in Transplantation Conference will highlight needs of living donors and transplant recipients.

This course is planned and organized by MHealth Fairview, Solid Organ Transplant Service Line. Contact Kristine Hinton, [email protected] for more information.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify one action being taken at a national level and one at the local level to improve equity in access to healthcare resources and in transplantation
  2. Describe one ongoing research study in the field of organ transplantation
  3. Identify one resource available for pediatric transplant patients
  4. Define how allocation changes and new technology have impacted transplant decision making
  5. Name one intervention to improve potential for transplant candidacy
  6. State one past or present ethical issue in living organ donation

Registration

In-Person Attendance:  $150
Webinar Attendance:  $100

Note you must participate in the in-person course or live webinar to be eligible to claim credit. Credit will not be made available for viewing the recording.

Registration Policies:

  • Advanced Registration must be made by Monday, May 12 2025 at 5:00 p.m. CST for in-person attendance. Those registering after this deadline may not receive course materials, etc..

  • On-site registration will be allowed as space permits. All on-site registrants must use their own device to submit their registration and payment by credit card via CE Portal (cash/check not accepted). Registration through CE Portal is required for all learners in attendance..

  • Special needs, such as dietary restrictions, lactation room, etc., should be requested in advance. These requests cannot always be honored on site.

Cancellation Policy In the event you need to cancel your registration, the registration fee, less a $25 administrative fee, for in-person registration or $10 for webinar registration, will be refunded if you notify us by 4:30 p.m. Central Time two weeks prior to the start of the conference. No refunds will be made after this date.

 


Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
This activity is awarded up to 6.75 ANCC contact hours.

Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
This activity is eligible for 6.75 ACPE contact hours. Information from the participant tracking sheet (which includes your NABP # and month and date of birth) will be uploaded to The Monitor within four weeks.

American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC)
This activity is eligible for up to 6.0 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Certification (CEPTCs).

Other Healthcare Professionals
Other healthcare professionals who participate in this CE activity may submit their certificate of participation to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
