Overview
Healthcare professionals (from primary care to specialty departments that work with lung cancer patients) are invited to join their peers from across the state and from other healthcare systems to continue the conversation about lung cancer screening. With less than 10% of those who are eligible for screening receiving their annual low-dose CT scan, we have work to do. The current five-year lung cancer survival rate is 22%.
This annual meeting features presenters from the medical community and roundtable discussions on various topics, including ways to overcome patient and system barriers to lung cancer screening.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe updates on regulatory and eligibility requirements for lung cancer screening
  2. Apply lung cancer screening decision aids

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education and A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation. University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

American Medical Association (AMA)
The University of Minnesota, Interprofessional Continuing Education designates this live activity  for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
