Overview

Format: Self-paced online

This course is planned and hosted by the University of Minnesota Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

Gastroenterology is a rapidly evolving field with numerous subspecialties. Across the country, including in the Midwest, APPs are frequently on the front lines of the gastroenterology clinics.  Often APPs do not get exposed to specialized training in areas of gastroenterology sub-specialization, yet are often seeing the most complex patients. There is a specific need to focus on the gastroenterology education of APPs given their important role in GI care. This course will use a variety of methods to close the existing knowledge gaps focused in the areas of: Inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology, and pancreatology.

This online course was presented as a live course in Minneapolis, MN on October 28, 2022.  References in the video to CE credit and QR codes provided are not applicable to this online version of the course.
