The Virtual ECMO Academy will discuss the changes and updates that have occurred with mobile ECMO, and the process for mobile ECMO implementation and roles of the ECMO team. The academy will review the physiology and presentation of patients for emergent ECMO. Furthermore, the academy will share knowledge and skills of emergent ECMO placement, along with trouble-shooting and managing ECMO patients/devices.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify updates and changes in the mobile ECMO program.
  2. Outline the process for mobile ECMO implementation and the roles of the ECMO team.
  3. Review emergent ECMO placement, trouble-shooting and managing ECMO patients/devices.
