Overview

Advanced Therapies for Pediatric Obesity is one of the most highly regarded educational activities addressing the topic of pediatric obesity. In this three ½-day course, leading experts in the field will provide the rationale for why obesity is a disease and concrete guidance on how to manage it. To support the implementation of AAP Clinical Practice Guideline, a main focus of this course is the use of obesity medications for children and adolescents. Using cased-based sessions and break outs, attendees will learn how to use obesity medications. Additional sessions will focus on cardiometabolic complications of obesity and metabolic and bariatric surgery.

For questions about Advanced Therapies for Pediatric Obesity, contact Juanita Jensen, Department of Pediatrics-Center for Obesity Medicine at [email protected] or 612-626-2349.
